EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL expanding to include weekday performances
Strip show looks to reach out to fans 5 nights a week
LAS VEGAS – February 19, 2014 – EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL Ultimate 4D Experience, the Las Vegas hit that plays at the V Theater in Planet Hollywood at the heart of the world famous Las Vegas Strip, is expanding its number of performances each week. Currently it plays Fridays and Saturdays only, but beginning February 25th that will change to Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays at10pm and Saturdays at 11:30pm.
“This show’s success is due mostly to the support of our fans,” said the show’s producer and director Sirc Michaels, “We love bringing the show to them, and they keep coming back again and again for more of the insanity that this show is. It’s like nothing else in Las Vegas, and clearly it has resonated with people because it’s still going strong nearly 2 years after opening on the Strip and is now expanding.”
The show will be presented in its current format in its current showroom on Friday and Saturdaynights, as it has been since it opened on Friday night June 22nd. This version is currently being touted as the “classic camp” version of the show.
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays the show will be presented in a new showroom in the same V Theater complex, directly above the weekend showroom. While the story, songs, interactive elements, and campy humor that have come to identify the show will still be present in this second version of the show, there are several differences. The seating is more intimate, there are more video effects and multi-media, the staging is revamped, and there are some surprise effects that the producer of the show are keeping quiet about until after the show opens in the new room. This version is currently being touted as the “something different” version of the show.
Fans come to the show on a regular basis, some having attended the production upwards of 50 times or more since it opened in Las Vegas in October of 2011. By not only expanding the number of shows in a week but also by creating a new ways in which the show can be experienced, the minds behind EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL hope to bring something entirely new to the city – an interactive musical comedy experience that boasts not one but two separate and unique ways in which to experience it.
