New ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ Book Coming Soon

Blake Best & Mick StrawnI’m thrilled to report some exciting news for A Nightmare On Elm Street fans this evening.

There is a new Nightmare book in production. It’s being co-written by Blake Best and Mick Strawn, who was production designer on Nightmares 3-5. The book is called “Behind the Screams: A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 Revealed,” and it contains tales from the making of the film that have never been shared with the public. The book is planned to be released in August, to coincide with the thirtieth anniversary of the film.

I simply can’t tell you how pumped I am for this book! The fourth entry in the Elm Street franchise, The Dream Master has always been neck and neck with Dream Warriors as my favorite entry in the series. A great plot, the introduction of Lisa Wilcox as Alice, some INCREDIBLE deaths have always put this one on the top of the list. And let’s not forget a dog pissing fire which always made me roar with laughter.

Both Mick and Blake have been guests at several horror conventions around the country and they made their announcement about the book right before Christmas. It has gone viral on social media including Facebook, and as a result copies Blake’s first book “The Within” and the Freddy Krueger origin novel “Razor’s Edge” are selling for over $2,000 a copy! Mick and Blake were inducted into the Hall of Horror in Las Vegas in October of 2016 for their contributions to the A Nightmare on Elm Street mythology.

Stay tuned for and upcoming interview with the authors and as soon as a review copy is in my hands I’ll get you some more info on the book itself. In the meantime check out the following links:
