Gunnar Hansen, the actor and author best known for playing the cannibal Leatherface in original The Texas Chain Saw Massacre has passed away at the age of 68 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Whether you liked the film or not (most horror fans consider it and iconic film) The Texas Chain Saw Massacre gave us one of the greatest villians of all time in Leatherface. We ran a poll of who horror fans would put on their Mount Rushmore of Horror and Leatherface was right there.
It’s with great sadness and the utmost respect that we say goodby to Mr. Hansen this morning. Rest in peace sir. Thank you.
