Director Scott Spiegel (Evil Dead & Hostel series), along with the cast and crew, will be making history as The Temple is to be the first Western film shot in the exotic Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan. This supernatural horror, shares the story of a hardened police detective sent to investigate robbery in an Ancient Temple overlooking a remote village, where she is confronted by wary villagers and a snooping American TV crew.
The cast for this feature have just been announced: Ian Buchanan (Panic Room, General Hospital), Emrhys Cooper (Mamma Mia, Person of Interest), Keith Jefferson (The Hateful Eight, Django Unchained), Andy Summers (of The Police), Charlotte Price (Wild in Blue, The Sex Trip) and Bhutanese actress Kinley Pelden.
Principal photography begins in Bhutan on January 20th, The Temple is a co-production of Happy Himalayan Pictures & Dream It Productions and is produced by Suzanne Patrick, Kinley Pelden, Emrhys Cooper and Donald A. Barton. Screenplay by Peter Alan Roberts.
