Review & Recommendation

I’m not going to bother with a plot recap for a movie with a running times less than 10 minutes. Suffice to say The Gloaming is well worth your time to watch. What dialog is here is spoken in Gaelic but is subtitled in English though I’m not sure the subtitles are even necessary – everything you need to know is put right forth in front of your eyes.

For such a short film (running time is less than 6 minutes) there’s actually a ton developed. The scenery is beautiful, the sound it top notch and what action we get is intense. Halloween is behind us for this year but I’m happy to be able to share films like The Gloaming with our readers – it keeps the creepy vibe that we love going. Strong recommend.

Watch the film and leave us a comment with your thoughts!

I've been a fan of horror and slasher movies for as long as I can remember. I consider the original Halloween to be the best horror movie of all time and my guilty pleasure horror flick would be The Exorcist III. You can find me on X at @406Northlane or TikTok @406Northlane where I'm sure I'll offend you at least once a day.
