The Houses October Built 2 hits the road again . . . but is it for the final time?
I settled in to watch The Houses October Built 2 with none other than my friend who loves haunted houses as much as me. We ended up having a blast watching this, and wishing we could go to these haunts ourselves!
The Houses October Built 2 begins where the first film leaves off, with Brandy in a scary situation and The Blue Skeleton getting away with their torture. The next Halloween we find out the underground group, The Blue Skeleton, put all of their video footage of torturing Brandy, Zack, Bobby, Mike, and Jeff, turning them into a viral sensation. The group is able to finally coax Brandy into doing some promotional work for some haunts during this new Halloween. As you can guess, things take a turn for the worse when we can see that The Blue Skeleton isn’t finished with them just yet.
What I really liked about THOB 2 was that we get to see so many ridiculous haunts, and I want to go to ALL OF THEM. They are so bizarre and I like how we get a tour through each of them. The movie is also made excellently, as it is produced by the same people who made Paranormal Activity and Insidious. It was fun to see the group of friends become celebrities among the haunt world. Hell, I’d love to meet them. I also liked the inclusion of the GoPros and now a drone. This movie had a slightly different feel then the first one, as our group of friends are more “seasoned” and not as easily afraid. Though I know I would be! One of my favorite parts was the Zombie Run. This is something I would totally do, and loved the way this was filmed. It looked like such a blast! The ending was a total twist and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! I definitely recommend seeing this film, especially if you were a fan on of the first one.
I’m so happy to have had the opportunity see this kick-ass movie early, and I am now counting down the days till next Halloween when I can get back in on the haunt scene.
The Houses October Built 2 will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on January 2nd, 2018! Order it here on Amazon.
