The newest release from Lionsgate Entertainment is set to hit theaters tomorrow (Friday April 25th). The Quiet Ones a film based on true events of a college professor in Oxford who attempts to create a poltergeist.
According to the films IMDB page:
“A university professor and a team of students conduct an experiment on a young woman, uncovering terrifyingly dark, unexpected forces in the process.”
The trailer (shown below) looks super spooky and has a great The Conjuring vibe to it (which is a VERY good thing).

This looks phenomenal!
Have you ever done research on the Phillip Experiment (http://paranormal.about.com/od/ghosthuntinggeninfo/a/create-a-ghost.htm)? It’s really freaking creepy that these people created a fake personality of a ghost and managed to manifest it for a live television audience. The Quiet Ones plot seems to reimagine these real life events into a film much like Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (where a fictional character is summoned to the real world).
NICE! Not familiar with the Phillip Experiment, but if it’s on the line of New Nightmare which I LOVED then that’s super cool. Sounds like Pandora is going to see The Quiet Ones tonight!
Got invited to a sneak peak tonight. Here’s my review! https://www.scaretissue.com/the-quiet-ones-2014-save-the-one-save-the-world/
