The Weevil Dead’s Top 5 Horror Movie Soundtracks

Aside from being a horror movie fan (understatement), I am obsessed with music. I have said in my Top Ten Horror Films that film score is something that really influences me, as it can make or break the movie easily. Along with a thematic score, I also take into consideration the songs used in the movies. Are they necessary, or does it feel like they are trying too hard? Does it make the movie badass, or just….meh. Below I have compiled my top 5. Along with the movie, I’ve also added my favorite song for your listening pleasure! Enjoy.

The Devil’s Rejects- Midnight Rider, The Allman Brothers, also Freebird is awesome.

Christine- Harlem Nocturne, The Viscounts

“Okay. Show Me”

The Lost Boys- Cry Little Sister

“Thou Shall Not FAAAALL”

Jennifer’s Body- I Wanna Love You by Akon ft. Snoop Dogg

“I know you see me lookin at you and you already knooow”

An American Werewolf in London- Blue Moon by Sam Cooke

Cue Transformation Scene

Again, thanks for reading! I hope these songs get you in the mood for some good old-fashioned horror movie watching.

Happy Haunts!
