Alex Gruenenfelder’s feature film directorial Little Pet debut promises sex, blood, and pet sounds
Spring is in the air and just in time to celebrate all things vernal, Alex Gruenenfelder’s Horror Boy Productions has unleashed a daring first look into the world of Little Pet, a tantalizing BDSM-infused horror extravaganza that promises an intoxicating blend of blood and sensuality. This is Gruenenfelder’s feature film directorial debut, having previously directed the award-winning short film The Saga of Psycho Girl. Given that Gruenenfelder graduated from UC San Diego at nineteen and ran for Mayor of Los Angeles at twenty, his brutal first film at twenty-two is bound to draw interest and an abundance of curiosity.
Starring the captivating Vivian Tran in her feature film debut as tormented submissive Linda Baxter, opposite the magnetic John Lauri as Linda’s toxic lawyer boyfriend Sebastian Charles, Little Pet weaves a dark narrative of desire, dominance, and self-discovery. The film also features Brittany Joyal, Mason Greenberg, Alana Dietze, Mykall Davis, Jay Sosnicki, and Chaney Belle.
Little Pet Synopsis
In Little Pet, animal shelter volunteer Linda (Tran) grapples with her subservient existence until a mysterious dog bite shatters her reality, leading her on a provocative quest for empowerment. Set against the backdrop of the Los Angeles kink scene, Linda’s journey unfolds with jaw-dropping visuals and heart-pounding intensity.
Writer and director Gruenenfelder began the script for Little Pet at the tender age of seventeen, intrigued by the electrifying possibilities that unfold when the boundaries of sexual power dynamics are pushed to the extreme. He then saved up money from working as a stilt walker at the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride to self-finance the feature film on a shoestring budget. Shot primarily at Gruenenfelder’s family home in Los Angeles and at the iconic Stockroom sex shop in Echo Park, Little Pet dives headfirst into the world of fetish, nightmares, and untamed desires.
The teaser trailer alone delivers an onslaught of gore, bold visuals, vibrant color, and hints of bondage, promising a spine-chilling film experience that transcends conventional horror.
