Best Casino Horror Movies

Cards Play Poker Card Game Casino Cube GamblingThe horror genre encompasses a lot of smaller niches. Once such very specific niche is casino horror movies. There are more of them than you’d probably first think. They have all the thrill, excitement and amazing bonus offers that you’d expect from a decent horror movie as well as all the fun that goes with gambling at a casino. Here are some of the best casino horror movies.

Dead Man’s Hand

In Dead Man’s Hand, Matthew Dragna inherits his uncle’s old casino. Together with his girlfriend and a group of other friends known for their online gambling in california, Matthew takes a road trip to visit this mystery casino. Unfortunately, though, it is haunted by the ghosts of dead gangsters who are looking to settle a score. Matthew and friends must try to survive and escape these vicious killers. Dead Man’s Hand isn’t the best film but it is carried by having an unusual setting – the casino. It’s worth watching for that alone and there are some great moments in between the usual teen horror show.

Remains

Remains is set in a post-apocalyptic zombie future. Recently reviewed by the staff at http://www.yeboyescasino.co.za/ as one of the best in its genre, the film sees a group of survivors escaping the zombie horde and taking refuge in an abandoned casino in Reno, Nevada. Outside though, the undead are becoming more aggressive, intelligent and stronger each day. The casino setting is really different from the usual shopping mall, hospital and other generic zombie film locations. It adds a new twist that is really fun to watch. The movie itself isn’t the best zombie flick around, but the added casino element is interesting enough that it makes the film a great watch. If you wanted something that is a pure casino and no horror then New Jersey Online Casino (who themselves provide great gambling reviews) has put together one such list and it includes some of the greatest casino movies of all time.

Leprechaun

The original Leprechaun is a 90’s classic. When Dan O’Grady comes home to the US after stealing an Irish Leprechaun’s gold at first he thinks he can start a new life, but it isn’t meant to be. The Leprechaun followed Dan to the US and he barely escapes with his life after locking it in his basement. Jumping ahead 10 years a new family move in (J.D and his daughter Tory). The creature is accidentally released and immediately goes in search of its gold with little worry about the human lives it destroys in the process. Leprechaun is a classic film that needs to be seen by any horror fan. The third installment has a heavier gambling and casino theme as it is set in Las Vegas, but it is worth watching the movies in order for you to understand some of the histories behind the series. Also, there are very definite gambling and pushing your luck elements all the way through the original Leprechaun movie.

Chewie

I've been a fan of horror and slasher movies for as long as I can remember. I consider the original Halloween to be the best horror movie of all time and my guilty pleasure horror flick would be The Exorcist III. You can find me on Twitter at @406Northlane or TikTok @406Northlane where I'm sure I'll offend you at least once a day.
