Helloween has three strong female characters: the protagonist Dr Ellen Marks (played by Trinidadian/Guyanese-British actress Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott) and her daughters Alice (Megan Marszal) and Leah (Caroline Wilde). Helloween also stars 80s movie icon Michael Paré (Streets Of Fire, The Philadelphia Experiment) in one of his best roles in decades, making full use of his warm screen personal and twinkly charm. The villain of the piece, Carl Cane, is a remarkable performance by Ronan Summers, perhaps best known for playing both of the notorious gangster Kray twins in Cone of Silence.
