#ShortMovieMonday: Eerie Horror Fest Lineup Part 1

Eerie Horror Film FestivalIt’s that time of the year for horror fans.  Leaves begin to fall.  Costume stores open their doors.  Horror abounds.  Those last days of September are always filled with so much anticipation:  What horrors will I discover this year?  What’s AMC’s Fearfest lineup?  When will the Simpsons Treehouse of Terror air?

My October is getting busier and busier.  Tomorrow, we kick off the season with a special showing of Annabelle.  My inbox is filled with screeners (and I will be getting to those shortly), and we at Scaretissue.com are preparing for our trip to the 11th annual Eerie Horror Film Festival.  Last week, I did an article on the feature films that will be showing October 17-19.  Today, I would like to showcase a genre that is one of my favorites:  short films.

(Note:  Many short films do not have as much marketing as the features do.  I did my best in compiling this information so if I missed something or got something wrong, please feel free to CONTACT us with more information.  As there are 25 total short films that will show at the festival, I am previewing half of them today and half next week.)

I love horror movies, and I have since I was young. My favorite genre is the zombie genre, but it has completely been overdone in the last few years. I'm not a big fan of the horror movie formula, and I love it when a director turns it on its head.
