Los Angeles, CA – In September of 2015, genre distributor Terror Films announced they had acquired the highly anticipated documentary about the making of the feature film based on Stephen King’s classic horror novel Pet Sematary. This past May, in celebration of the original film’s 27th anniversary, Terror Films released a limited, dual DVD/Blu-ray combo package of the documentary that included a poster, stickers and a t-shirt. The promotion was met with raves reviews from both horror sites and fans but it only lasted a month, leaving fans wanting more.

The documentary, which took filmmakers John Campopiano and Justin White nearly 5 years to complete, will finally be released this Friday, January 13th. Starting with a digital release on Amazon Instant, XBOX Live, VUDU, Sony PlayStation Network, Google Play and iTunes, where it’s currently available for pre-sale here: geni.us/ZcxIGIQ

The film will also be released on Amazon Prime, Roku, Hulu and cable VOD at a later date. In addition, iTunes will carry the exclusive bonus features, which will be released in a special iTunes package in the coming month. The film will also be released in Canada via Raven Banner Releasing later in the year.

Unearthed & Untold: The Path To Pet Sematary is a documentary film chronicling the origins of Stephen King’s bestselling horror novel, Pet Sematary from novel to script to screen. The film features exclusive interviews with the entire cast, key crew, local town’s people in Maine and never-before-seen video footage from the sets in Maine. This documentary will also take you on an extensive tour of the filming locations – emphasizing the true local flavor and influence of Maine on this timeless horror film.  The film is co-written and directed by John Campopiano and Justin White.
